Become A Scholarship Donor.

Dixie Education Foundation, DEF, was established as a not-for-profit community-based corporation formed for the sole purpose of providing educational assistance to benefit Dixie County.

FOUNDATION MEMBERSHIP

Foundation, directors and members communicate with donors about their scholarship, help market the foundation's mission and recruit new donors. Members serve on appointed committees, attend foundation meetings and are a voting member on all items except election of directors and officers.

ANNUAL DONOR SCHOLARSHIP DRIVE

During the months of September, October, and November our members will be contacting potential or previous donors to support this worthwhile program.

During December and January, the scholarship applications will be updated. It is extremely important to submit scholarship application changes to the foundation by the end of January each year.

BECOME A SCHOLARSHIP DONOR

Our annual goal is to provide scholarships to graduating seniors. This process is made possible by local businesses, private donors, other companies and memorial contributions. Monies donated for scholarships may be tax-deductible.

  • TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (TAP)

    This Dixie Education Foundation, Inc. project purpose is to build a framework to assist Dixie County High School students with CTE career orientation, exploration and opportunities. The framework will develop an awareness of careers, by focusing on certification areas, test taking skills, orientation visits to colleges and career tech programs.

    LOCAL EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

    Since 1997 the Dixie Education Foundations partners annually with local donors. From our humble beginnings of $10,000, we now award over $200,000 annually.



  • LEGACY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

    The Dixie Education Foundation, Inc. is proud of our partnership with Florida's Legacy Foundation Scholarship Program. We can purchase Legacy scholarship form the foundation with a dollar for dollar match. It feels really good to give a student $3,000 towards their education.
